Bob, paying tribute to his carers on Good Morning Britain. See 3 April entry |
Hello, I am Bob Skinner.
I was born in West Ham, London in 1926. My mother was Welsh, and we moved to Cardiff in 1941. After six years in London in the 1960s, I moved back to Wales with my wife and two children in 1971.
I was a journalist for almost 20 years on the Penarth Times and South Wales Argus, and also wrote for many national newspapers. I moved into public relations almost 60 years ago.
I wrote about my sixty years in journalism and PR in my book, Don't Hold the Front Page.
I have started this blog to record my thoughts on the current coronavirus emergency.
